Responsibilities
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and culturally sensitive care to clients from diverse backgrounds
- Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation
- Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Provide medication reminders and assistance with ambulation
- Transport clients to appointments, errands, and community activities
- Observe and report changes in client condition to the office
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the HomeWell team
- Bilingual or multilingual applicants are strongly encouraged to apply (Spanish, Korean, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Hindi, Gujarati, or other languages)
- CNA, PCA, HHA certification preferred, or at least one year of professional caregiving experience
- Experience caring for seniors or individuals with chronic conditions preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license and current auto insurance if transporting clients
- Current TB test (or willingness to obtain one)
- Ability to pass a background check
- Physically able to perform the duties of the position
- Dependable, compassionate, professional, and punctual
- Ability to provide 3 professional references
- Preferably live within 10–15 miles of zip code 30339
