Role Description Caregivers at HomeWell Care Service Madison, AL provide direct, hands-on support to clients in their homes on a full-time, on-site basis in the Madison, AL area. Daily responsibilities may include assisting with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing), helping with mobility and transfers, and supporting safe toileting and hygiene. Caregivers also perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, and errands, while monitoring clients’ well-being and reporting any changes to supervisors. The role involves offering companionship, engaging clients in conversation and activities, and following individualized care plans and safety protocols. Caregivers are expected to be reliable, maintain clear communication with clients and families, and document services accurately according to agency guidelines.
Qualifications

• Ability to provide compassionate personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
• Experience with household support tasks such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, and running errands.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust, offer companionship, and collaborate with families and care teams.
• Capacity to follow care plans, observe and report changes in client condition, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Dependable and punctual, with the ability to work full-time schedules, including possible evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
• Ability to safely assist with transfers and positioning; must meet physical requirements for lifting and prolonged standing.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior caregiving, home care, or CNA experience is an advantage.
• Reliable transportation to client homes in the Madison, AL area; valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred.
• Willingness to complete background checks, reference checks, and any required training or certifications.
