In-Home Caretaker

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In-Home Caretaker to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in their private residences. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition
• Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen
• Support clients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices when necessary
• Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, and any incidents or concerns
• Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing to promote a safe and comfortable environment
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement personalized care plans for clients with conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, or developmental disabilities

Skills

• Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings
• Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and vital signs assessment
• Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards
• Ability to perform CPR and First Aid confidently in emergency situations
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs such as autism or dementia care
• Skilled in medication administration and managing care plans effectively
• Physical ability for heavy lifting and assisting with mobility aids like Hoyer lifts or resident transfers
• Compassionate communication skills to foster trust and rapport with clients and their families
• Familiarity with social work principles related to long-term care and community resources
