Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment.
- Monitor and document patient health status, including vital signs and any changes in condition.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation as required by healthcare protocols.
- Administer basic first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring patient safety at all times.
- Assist with memory care activities for patients experiencing cognitive challenges.
- Launder patient clothing and bedding as needed to maintain hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or home health aide roles is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices is highly desirable.
- Experience in long-term care settings is a plus, especially for those working with elderly or disabled patients.
- Certification in CPR or First Aid is advantageous.
- Strong observational skills to recognize changes in patient conditions effectively.
