What you'll do:
- Assist clients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment for clients.
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary needs are met.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping tasks.
- Escort clients to appointments, social activities, and errands as needed.
- Observe and report changes in clients' physical or emotional condition to the care team.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and communicate effectively with team members.
- Assist with administrative tasks when caregiver work is light, including scheduling and data entry.
- Participate in training and professional development sessions as needed.
Are You the Right Fit?
- Must be able to work with Homewatch CareGivers of Monroe Township - Old Bridge, NJ clients in Sayreville, Old Bridge, Monroe Township and surrounding areas.
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is a plus but not require
- High School Diploma or GED
- Successfully Pass a Federal Criminal Background Check and Drug Test
- Authorized to work in the United States
- NJ Residence
- NJ Driver's License
- Your own personal vehicle and valid car insurance
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with clients and families
- Compassionate and patient demeanor, with a desire to help others
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Proficiency in using mobile devices and basic technology for communication
Note: Live-In caregivers are not required to have a driver's license or a car. We can provide transportation directly from your home to your cases.
