Surgical Technician – RVT Required
Homeward Bound Veterinary Services is seeking a skilled, motivated, and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our growing surgical team in Bel Air, Maryland.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment assisting with both routine and urgent surgical procedures across our wellness and urgent care services. We are looking for a technician who is confident in anesthesia, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
- Assist with a variety of surgical procedures including:
- Routine spays/neuters
- Mass removals
- Dental procedures
- Emergency and urgent care surgeries
- Orthopedic and advanced procedures
- Safely induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia patients
- Monitor critically ill and high-risk anesthetic patients
- Perform patient prep, catheter placement, intubation, and surgical support
- Maintain accurate anesthesia and treatment records
- Support doctors and fellow technicians with patient care and workflow
- Ensure surgical suite cleanliness and organization
- Assist with post-operative care and client communication as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- Current RVT/LVT/CVT certification
- Prior anesthesia and surgical monitoring experience
- Strong technical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred:
- Experience in emergency or urgent care medicine
- Dental radiograph experience
- Knowledge of advanced anesthetic monitoring and pain management
Position Details
- Full-time or part-time available
- Some evening and weekend shifts required
- In-person position located in Bel Air, MD
