What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Receptionist position at Homeward Bound Animal Hospital?
Small animal hospital that has a brand new, custom built facility seeks to add a full time or part time veterinary receptionist to our awesome team. Candidates with some scheduling flexibility will be given preference. Experience is preferred but on job training is also available for those who like working with people and animals; our talented team has the experience and patience to offer a great learning environment.
Position responsibilities include answering the phone, greeting clients in person, collecting payment, some cleaning duties, interacting with the rest of the team as they provide care for our patients, providing some phone triage and calling patients to check on their progress. There is a strong likelihood this position can be cross trained with our opening for a veterinary assistant. Thus, some training possible for interested candidates for hands on patient interaction. Training for use with our electronic medical records system will be provided but strong computer skills as well as experience with Windows, word processing, spread sheets and Google Docs will be looked upon favorably.
Excellent medicine practiced on a great variety of species including: dogs, cats, guinea pigs, ferrets, birds, reptiles, pigs, goats and sometimes others.
