Hometown Pools is a growing, locally owned pool service and repair company serving the Waco and surrounding areas. We're looking for a reliable, mechanically minded Pool Repair Technician who takes pride in their work and wants long-term stability with a company that values quality, integrity, and teamwork.
This role focuses on diagnosing and repairing residential pool equipment — not new construction. If you enjoy hands-on work, problem solving, and working independently in the field, this could be a great fit.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair pool equipment issues including: Pumps, filters, heaters, salt systems, and automation
- Perform equipment replacements and upgrades
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, replacing parts, and troubleshooting electrical components
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete repairs and installations
- Identify issues clearly and communicate repair needs
- Complete repairs efficiently and professionally
- Maintain clean, organized work habits and job documentation
- Provide excellent customer service on every visit by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to homeowners
- Work closely with our office team and operations lead
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment at all times
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues
- Proven experience in equipment repair and maintenance within the pool or related industries
- Knowledge of pool maintenance practices including cleaning, water chemistry, and system operation
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
- Service technician experience preferred, with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple service calls efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
