Service Manager – Full Time
Hometown Motors – Pearl City, IL
Hometown Motors is looking for a reliable, people-first Service Manager to join our Pearl City team. If you’re experienced in the automotive world and love working with customers, mechanics, and local folks alike, you’d be a great fit.
We’re a small-town, locally owned shop with a reputation for honest work and strong community values. We’re growing and looking for someone who can help lead our front-end operations with professionalism, personality, and pride in what we do.
What You’ll Do:
- Greet customers, understand their needs, and communicate clearly with our technicians
- Create service estimates and explain repairs in a straightforward way
- Manage the daily workflow between customers and techs
- Monitor parts ordering and scheduling
- Keep the shop organized and running efficiently
- Take ownership of the customer experience from drop-off to pick-up to rescheduling.
What We’re Looking For:
- Automotive service experience (especially in customer-facing roles)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Leadership ability – even if you haven’t had the title yet
- Solid understanding of vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Sales experience is a plus
- Someone who’s dependable, motivated, and takes pride in their work

What skills do you need?
- Regularly using Google Docs, Sheets and Gmail
- Comfortable with using Tekmetric Shop Management Software
- Competent with CRM software and the follow up customer relationship processes
- Great communication skills
- A quick learner
