Delivery Driver

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and safe delivery of Furniture to various locations. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage routes efficiently. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction through prompt and professional service.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and box trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload products using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks
• Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation of shipments.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
• Handle any issues that may arise during the delivery process, including delays or damaged goods.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, including loading and unloading procedures.
• Experience operating pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment is a plus.
• Strong route driving skills with knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns.
• Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with moving goods.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
