Hometown Endodontics is a patient focused specialty practice dedicated to serving our community through compassionate care and clinical excellence. We are seeking a dependable, detail oriented Dental Assistant who takes pride in providing an exceptional patient experience and enjoys working in a supportive, team centered environment.
This position is ideal for a motivated self starter who is organized, efficient, and committed to helping patients feel comfortable throughout their treatment. Candidates must have Dental Assistant Experience.
Schedule:
- Monday – Wednesday: 6:45 AM – 4:00 PM
- Thursday: 8:00 AM - until duties are completed to prepare for the following week
Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
- Assist the doctor chairside during endodontic procedures, including root canal therapy, retreatments, and related treatments
- Prepare and disinfect treatment rooms according to OSHA and infection control standards
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Take and process dental radiographs (CBCT experience preferred but not required)
- Ensure all necessary materials and instruments are prepared prior to patient arrival
- Maintain accurate and thorough clinical notes
- Provide patients with post operative instructions and education
- Monitor patient comfort and assist with patient needs during procedures
- Maintain inventory of clinical supplies
Patient Care Duties
- Greet patients and create a welcoming, comfortable environment
- Review medical histories and update patient records
- Assist with patient flow to ensure appointments run efficiently and on time
- Provide excellent customer service and compassionate care to patients who may be anxious or in pain
- Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Weekly Preparation Duties (Thursday)
- Deep clean and organize clinical areas
- Restock treatment rooms
- Sterilize and prepare instrument kits for the upcoming week
- Assist with supply inventory
- Ensure the office is fully prepared for patient care the following week
