Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
- 3-5 years of experience in general ledger, accruals, financial analysis, month end close, and budgeting; senior living or healthcare preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications; Advanced in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills.
- Experience in accounting ERP system (Sage Intacct is a plus), HRM database software (UKG is a plus).
- Certified Public Accountant, preferred.
Responsibilities: (the following is an overview of the responsibilities of the position and should not be considered all inclusive):
- Plan, direct and coordinate all accounting operational functions.
- Provide direct supervision of the accounting team in coordination with CFO.
- Review and analyze details of general ledger, research budget discrepancies, and prepare adjusting entries as needed.
- Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
- Responsible for the preparation of internal and external financial statements.
- Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances.
- Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement, and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses.
- Responsible for the preparation of data needed at year-end, as well as various annual and quarterly reporting to outside agencies.
- Assist CFO with the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets and coordinate departmental budget information.
- Assist CFO with evaluation of prospective residents' ability to meet financial criteria for admission.
- Oversee payroll-related accounting, including review of payroll journal entries and reconciliations.
- Maintain a knowledge of the accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll systems to serve as a supporting role as needed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
