What are the responsibilities and job description for the Escrow Accounting Assistant position at Homestead Title and Escrow?
This position will be responsible for performing accounting and administrative duties for our company. You will help support our Accounting team with Daily Accounting activities along with Monthly/Yearly projects and support our Escrow team with Funding/Disbursement items. This position will give you the opportunity to grow your accounting knowledge and experience in the exciting and fast-paced world of the Title & Escrow Industry.
Responsibilities
- Daily Reconciliations of Bank Accounts to Escrow Accounts.
- Daily Positive Pay processing of Bank Accounts.
- Daily Processing of Wire Transfers from Escrow Accounts.
- Work on Monthly Remittances to Underwriters for Policies Issued.
- Help with Monthly Accounts Receivable processing.
- Help with Annual Governmental reporting, ie. Escheating and 1099 Reporting.
Qualifications
- Should have Basic Accounting experience along with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable experience.
- Should have experience working with Excel spreadsheets. Creating spreadsheets from numerous sources, and manipulating the data within the spreadsheet as needed.
- Experience with NetSuite Accounting system a plus.
- Experience with Resware Escrow/Title software a plus.
- Experience in the Title/Escrow industry a plus.
- Strong attention to details with a high level of accuracy and organization.
- Position will be an In-office position from 8:00am – 5:00pm, in our Lakewood office.
