Homestead Structures is seeking a dependable, organized, and hardworking Material Handler / Shipping & Receiving team member to support our production and material operations.
This position plays a critical role in keeping production moving efficiently by ensuring materials are accurately received, inspected, organized, staged, and supplied to the production line.

Position Overview
The Material Handler / Shipping & Receiving position is responsible for overseeing incoming deliveries, verifying inventory accuracy, supplying materials to production crews, and maintaining an organized yard and warehouse environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Receiving and inspecting incoming deliveries
- Verifying materials match purchase orders and packing slips
- Checking all materials for damage or shortages
- Organizing inventory and storage areas
- Pulling and staging materials for the production line
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized yard
- Supporting efficient material flow throughout operations
This is a hands-on position that requires physical activity, attention to detail, and strong personal accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality
- Verify delivered materials match what was ordered
- Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect materials immediately
- Organize and store inventory in designated locations
- Pull and stage materials and supplies for the production line
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe yard and warehouse areas
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages proactively
- Work closely with production crews and management to ensure material readiness
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely (if certified)
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Dependable with strong work ethic and personal accountability
- Ability to lift and move materials as needed
- Forklift experience preferred
- Basic understanding of inventory tracking and material handling processes preferred
- Clear communication skills and team-oriented attitude
Compensation & Benefits
