Job Overview:
Homestead is seeking a driven Sales Associate to support and expand our sales efforts by generating new opportunities and engaging prospective clients. This role works closely with senior sales leadership and is designed for individuals who are motivated to build a career in sales. You will play a direct role in executing campaigns, outreach strategy, and developing pipelines, while gaining hands-on experience in self-funded health plans and reference-based pricing.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Execute outbound prospecting efforts including calls, emails, and follow-up
- Identify and engage prospective employers, brokers, and partners
- Generate and qualify new business opportunities
- Coordinate and schedule meetings with qualified prospects
- Maintain accurate pipeline activity and tracking
- Support development of presentations, proposals, and sales materials
- Collaborate with internal teams including Marketing and Operations
- Participate in sales strategy discussions, meetings, and pipeline reviews
- Generate and take ownership of a small pipeline of opportunities
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, or related field preferred
· Must have some experience in sales, business development, or related role
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Competitive, self-motivated, and goal-oriented mindset
· Comfortable with outbound outreach and relationship-building
· Ability to work independently and take initiative
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
· Interest in/exposure to healthcare, benefits, or insurance industry is a plus
· Experience with Salesforce or CRM systems is a plus
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
