What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Director position at Homestead Post Acute?
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of facility maintenance and operations
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols
- Coordinate and supervise maintenance staff
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance needs
- Manage and prioritize work orders and maintenance requests via TELS system
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
- Collaborate with other departments to support facility needs
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs
- Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
- Coordinate and oversee contractors for specialized repairs or projects
- Must have previous experience with OIG surveys, complaint surveys and life safety codes
- Team Leadership
-Must have experience using a TELS system
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of facilities management principles and practices
- Ability to effectively manage a team of maintenance staff
- Proficiency in electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance tasks
- Experience in fabricating or repairing equipment and structures
- Project management skills to plan, schedule, and execute maintenance projects
- Knowledge of low voltage systems, including fire alarms and security systems
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of logic controllers for automated systems
-Must be a hands on leader
