What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fine Gardening Team/Crew Member position at Homestead Landscaping?
The Fine Gardening (Garden Detail) Team Member is a basic laborer with minimal or no fine gardening experience. However, he or she desires to learn to perform all aspects of fine gardening to include installing annuals and perennials, deadheading plants. Team Members must have a positive, “can-do” attitude, be an eager learner, be conscious of safety requirements, work as a team, punctual, and follow all instructions given by the Team Leader.
Candidates should:
- Be a willing learner, who seeks to master the basic skills of fine gardening.
- Able to use basic tools safely and properly: shovel, grading rake, spade, grub hoe, wheelbarrow, etc.
- Possess a valid/clean driver’s license and must be insurable on company’s insurance policy.
- Have full range of mobility in upper and lower body.
- Able to lift 35 pounds without assistance.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Follow all instructions given by the Fine Gardening Crew Leader.
- Properly and safely operates equipment.
- Works in a safe manner and reports any/all unsafe conditions to supervisor and/or supervisors.
- Reports to work on time.
- Continuing education opportunities available.
Pay is based on experience – starting wage $18/hour. Opportunities to gain experience and learn as you go and increase your hourly rate.
