What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time PCA/Life Enrichment Aide position at Homestead Brand?
Homestead Village is a thriving non-profit, CARF-CCAC accredited, Life Plan Community located just outside downtown Lancaster. We are seeking highly caring, enthusiastic, & passionate Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) who enjoy Life Enrichment Activities to join our compassionate community as we enhance independence and dignity for all our residents!
Location:
- Westvue - Personal Care Memory Support; 2 floors; 13 residents on each floor
Base Pay: Determined based upon years of experience, starting rate with no experience or med tech certification is $15.75; plus, applicable shift & weekend differentials.
Two Part Time Positions Available:
4:00pm-8:00pm; Monday & Wednesday; including every other weekend/holiday rotation
7:00am-3:30pm; Week 1: Tuesday & Saturday -- Week 2: Sunday & Wednesday, includes every other weekend/holiday rotation
Shift/Weekend Differentials:
- $1.50 additional from 3:00pm-11:00pm
- $0.75 additional from 11:00pm-7:00am
- $1.25 additional on Weekends (Saturday & Sunday)
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience with Life Enrichment
- CPR/1st Aid/AED certified or ability to become certified.
- Ability to communicate with residents, families, and staff.
- Able to perform the essential job functions of the job description.
- Demonstrate flexibility.
- Satisfactory completion of the Personal Care Home Direct Care Staff Person Training Program
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Establish respectful, warm relationships with residents.
- Assist resident with all activities of daily living as needed.
- Participate in development of residents' Support Plan.
- Facilitate recreational/life enhancement activities.
- Facilitate dining/light meal preparations.
- Collect data such as vital signs, as indicated.
- Housekeeping and laundry, as needed and assigned.
- Observe client and immediately report changes in condition to Supervisor.
- Attend all required staff meetings and complete monthly education on Relias by dates due.
- Adhere to all PCH policies and procedures, federal, state, and local regulations, and OSHA safety standards.
- Document interventions, activities, observations, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
