Teacher Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher Assistant to join our vibrant educational team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
• Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs through attentive caregiving and positive behavior management
• Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety at all times
• Help organize classroom materials, educational resources, and learning activities to promote an enriching environment
• Provide individualized support for children with special needs or disabilities, including implementing tailored strategies and interventions
• Maintain open communication with teachers, parents, and caregivers regarding children's progress and behavior
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment that complies with health and safety regulations such as first aid protocols

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in settings such as preschool, daycare, babysitting, nannying, or similar environments is highly preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a strong advantage
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
• Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification upon hire is expected
• Demonstrated ability to provide nurturing care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or school-aged children
• Previous experience in childcare roles such as daycare assistant or toddler caregiver will be considered an asset

Pay: $9.00 - $12.00 per hour
