Masonry Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Masonry Worker to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a variety of masonry tasks that bring architectural visions to life, ensuring quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of residential, commercial, and renovation projects, utilizing your knowledge of concrete, brick, stone, and other masonry materials. Duties

• Construct, repair, and restore structures such as walls, facades, chimneys, and walkways using bricks, stones, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying mortar or other bonding agents for optimal adhesion.
• Operate hand tools (trowels, chisels, hammers) and power tools (drills, saws) safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and install masonry units.
• Read blueprints and schematics to accurately execute project specifications while ensuring structural integrity.
• Install rebar reinforcement for concrete structures and perform concrete forming and finishing with precision.
• Execute specialized tasks such as stucco application, tile laying, caulking, plastering, and trim carpentry to enhance aesthetic appeal.
• Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople on-site to coordinate activities like heavy equipment operation and scaffolding setup for safe access during construction or restoration projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction with a focus on masonry work; familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics is essential.
• Strong knowledge of concrete forming techniques, rebar installation, stucco application, tile laying, and heavy equipment operation.
• Skilled in using hand tools (trowels, chisels) and power tools (drills, saws) safely and effectively on various materials.
• Experience with renovation projects including restoration work or roof repairs is highly desirable.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings such as schematics or metal stud framing plans accurately.
• Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus to assist in project planning.
