What are the responsibilities and job description for the Homeschool Buddy position at Homeschool?
I'd like someone to sit with my fourth grader and second grader while they complete their homeschool workbooks. It will require very little instruction. You're welcome to complete your college homework, read a book, or whatever else you'd like to do while you're not actively helping them.
Your main job will be answering very simple questions about math and language arts if they get stuck on part of their assignments, or providing encouragement when needed. Success in this role will be apparent if my wife can have that time to focus her attention on other things, including our three-year-old. (Bonus points for candidates with a child who would like a three-year-old buddy to play with.)
Ideally, candidates will be available to be at our home near Utah State campus on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for an hour or two each day, between 10 a.m. and noon - but that schedule is flexible.
