Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Develop and implement a wide range of recreational activities and programs suitable for families and children, including sports, arts and crafts, outdoor, and educational activities.
Collaborate with other departments and community partners to organize and promote special events and workshops.
Create and manage a comprehensive schedule of events, ensuring a variety of options to cater to different ages, interests, and abilities.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, program evaluation, and prepare regular reports for management.
Hire and train staff.
Has the ability to run and manage a K-12 recreation program.
Competency in youth development.
Qualifications
Associates or bachelors degree.
At least one year of supervisory experience.
Fluency in languages other than English, particularly Spanish, strongly preferred.
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
This position requires flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate program schedule and special events.
Experience leading activities with children, teens, and adults.
