- Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain an organized learning space conducive to active participation and exploration.
- Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support diverse learning needs and ensure inclusive instruction.
- Conduct assessments of child development progress through observations and standardized testing when appropriate, adjusting lesson plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate student progress, behavioral concerns, and developmental milestones effectively.
- Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure child welfare and safety at all times.
- Integrate specialized teaching methods as applicable to enhance learning experiences.
- Plan and lead activities that promote physical education, social interaction, and cognitive skills development.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention practices.
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; classroom experience preferred.
- Strong skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management tailored for young learners.
- Familiarity with special education needs, behavior management strategies, and inclusive teaching practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
- Experience with literacy education, math instruction, and child welfare protocols.
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and protection.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations including toddlers and children requiring additional support services.
- Experience teaching physical education or incorporating movement-based activities into daily routines.
