POSITION OVERVIEW:
An Information Technology Administrator is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, laptop systems, and servers. The IT Administrator will install hardware and software and participate in research and development to continuously improve and keep up with the IT business needs of HHCLA. IT administrators also actively resolve problems and issues with laptop, computer, and server systems to limit work disruptions within HHCLA.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- New Hire Onboarding: Set up accounts, distribute passwords, and ensure new employees have the tools and training they need.
- Tech Support Ticket Monitoring: Track and manage all IT support tickets. Prioritize issues, follow up promptly, and make sure problems are resolved quickly with minimal disruption.
- Hardware & Equipment Management: Set up and maintain printers, scanners, laptops, desktops, and other office equipment.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide on-site and remote support for hardware, software, and network issues. Use your technical skills and problem-solving abilities to deliver an excellent customer service experience.
- Desk Moves & Equipment Deployment: Assist with office moves and reconfigure existing equipment as needed.
- Procurement & Inventory: Order hardware, software, and accessories. Maintain an accurate asset inventory and keep storage areas organized and stocked.
- Documentation: Create and update IT documentation for processes, changes, and troubleshooting steps.
- Recycling & Disposal: Handle electronic recycling in compliance with company policies.
- System Maintenance: Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and implement automation where possible.
- Performance & Capacity Planning: Monitor storage, capacity, and database performance to ensure systems run efficiently.
- Diagnostics & Issue Resolution: Run diagnostics, document problems and solutions, and assess the impact of issues to prioritize effectively.
- Implements and consistently practices harm reduction, trauma informed care, housing first and integrated care interventions.
- Able to serve a diverse vulnerable client population and communicate effectively in a culturally competent manner.
- Able to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment, utilizing professional, open and respectful communication. Maintains a solution focused, strengths based and client centered approach with managers, co-workers and clients of HHCLA.
- Ensures performance management standards are met through ongoing supervision addressing barriers as they arise.
- Maintains client records according to HIPAA and adheres to all client confidentiality requirements and standards.
- Complies and maintains familiarity with agency and program policies and procedures and other applicable regulations.
- Attends and participates in supervision, staff meetings, trainings, conferences, workshops, and special projects to promote professional development.
- Models HHCLA approach, mission and core values in all communication, correspondence, community events, coalitions and advocacy efforts.
- Reports to work on time and maintains reliable and regular attendance.
- Maintains current licensing and/or certification as required for position.
- Must possess a valid California Driver’s License, properly registered vehicle, and insurance.
- A position requiring a high volume of local travel.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
REQUIRED:
Education and Work Experience:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
- 1-2 years experience in IT support, with experience in hardware and software troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience with network administration, CCTV, security systems, and backup and recovery methods.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer service mindset while providing next-level support across the agency.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff members.
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
- Utmost confidentiality when accessing Emails, documents, hardware, etc.
- Familiar with the principles of Harm Reduction, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed Care, Housing First and Integrated Care
- Experience working with culturally diverse communities and vulnerable populations
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, office personnel, other employees and the general public
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high energy environment
- Ability to define problems and use critical thinking skills to identify solutions
- Ability to work independently and with others – including other employees, clients and members of the public -- in face-to-face and telephonic contexts.
- Ability to multi-task, establish priorities and manage time, meet deadlines and perform duties under time constraints.

Pay: From $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
