We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Injection Molding Process Engineer to join our manufacturing team. Core Duties
- Establish and maintain standardized work, including setup sheets, cycle times, and process parameters.
- Write work instructions for the molding department
- Drive scrap reduction through root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Improve organization, 5S, and workflow discipline across molding.
- Train operators on work instructions, quality checks, and safety.
- Monitor daily production, downtime, and efficiency metrics.
- Lead mold changeovers, troubleshoot process issues, and maintain consistent part quality.
- Coordinate with maintenance on mold repairs, PM schedules, and machine reliability.
Requirements
- 3–5 years in injection molding (supervisor, lead tech, process tech, or engineer).
- Strong understanding of process setup, scientific molding principles, and cycle optimization.
- Proven track record reducing scrap and improving uptime.
- Ability to write and enforce work instructions and standards.
- Hands-on troubleshooting: flash, short shots, burns, splay, gate issues, cooling problems.
- Leadership ability—someone who can set expectations and hold people accountable.
