HomeCare Advocacy Network Omaha is seeking compassionate, attentive and trustworthy caregivers to join our mission in providing extraordinary HomeCare to our clients. We want our caregivers to know that they are a valuable part of our team, and we are here to support them throughout their caregiving journey!
* Our employees receive flexible hours, a variety of shifts (Day, Evening, Overnights, and Weekends), competitive pay and are always treated with kindness and respect.
* Caregivers will follow a daily care plan, one on one, in their clients home.
* No experience needed. We offer paid training to all caregivers, which will cover all of the following responsibilities.
Caregiver Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with clients; engage in conversation and provide companionship
- Assist with personal care, (bathroom functions, bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating)
- Follow a care plan, which may include assisting with exercise and medication reminders
- Ensure the client's home is organized according to their needs and that safety measures are in place
- Assist with some light housework and meal preparation
- Provide support and encouragement to perform necessary tasks
- Mobility assistance may be required (helping the client in and out of bed, a chair, or a wheelchair)
- Transport or escort the client to medical and other appointments/errands
- Monitor and report changes in physical needs and mental behavior
- Position may include caring for clients with dementia
Caregiver Requirements:
- Must be 19 years or older
- A High School Diploma is preferred
- Possess a valid driver's license and auto insurance (please do not apply if you do not have these requirements)
- DSP or CNA experience is a plus but not required
- A willingness to work flexible hours
