Job Overview
Affinity Home Care Group is urgently seeking an experienced Caregiver / Home Care Aide to assist a male wheelchair-bound client in Itasca, IL 60143.
Schedule:
Monday – Sunday, 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM
28 hours per week
Pay:
$18.75 – $19.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Assist client with personal care, bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene
- Provide hands-on assistance with transfers between wheelchair, bed, and other seating areas
- Assist with mobility and repositioning
- Ensure client safety and comfort
- Provide companionship and support with daily activities
Physical Requirements
- Client is wheelchair-bound and requires extensive transfer assistance
- Must be able to safely lift, support, and transfer a client during daily care activities
- Position involves frequent lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing
- Experience using gait belts, transfer techniques, and mobility equipment is preferred
Qualifications
- Previous caregiver, home care aide, PCA, or CNA experience preferred
- Reliable and punctual
- Compassionate and professional demeanor
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
