As a Software Engineer on the Distribution team based in Denver, you will tackle challenging, novel situations every day and work just as nicely. You will be involved in designing and building key components of our product platform while working closely with a dynamic technical team. As a Software Engineer on the Distribution team based in Denver, you will tackle challenging, novel situations every day and work just as nicely. You will be involved in designing and building key components of our product platform while working closely with a dynamic technical team. This is a full-stack role that demands bold innovation and obsession with quality and customer experience.

- Develop comprehensive frontend and backend solutions integrating seamlessly into our broader service architecture.
- Participate in critical technical, design, and product discussions with leaders and peers across our engineering and product teams.
- Innovate and implement new technologies to enhance application performance and development efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to define, design, and ship new features in a fast-paced environment.
🚀 The Foundation for Success - These are the experiences and strengths that will set you up for success in this role:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.
- 3 years of experience in software development with a proven track record in full-stack development.
- Excellent understanding of server-side languages such as Ruby, Python, or Java. Homebase uses Ruby on Rails for most development, and we will expect at least some background exposure for technical interviews.
- Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript, CSS, and frameworks/tools like React, Node.js, and webpack.
- Strong partner-facing capabilities.
- Willingness to use AI to build, learn, and work faster — experimenting with tools, retooling workflows, and sharing those wins with your team.
- A commitment to writing understandable, maintainable, and reusable software.
- Effectiveness in implementing scalable software solutions.
