Position Overview
We are seeking a mid-level Project Manager to join our development team. This role is ideal for a driven professional with 3–7 years of experience in construction, engineering, or architecture who is ready to take ownership of projects from pre-development through closeout. Candidates with a real estate development background are strongly encouraged to apply. You will work closely with ownership, architects, engineers, and general contractors to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage day-to-day project activities across multiple real estate development projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordination of design and construction teams
· Serve as a primary liaison between architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
· Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and engineering reports to ensure alignment with project goals
· Develop and maintain project schedules, track milestones, and proactively identify and mitigate risks
· Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets, change orders, pay applications, and cost tracking
· Coordinate the permitting process and ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning requirements, and regulatory agencies
· Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, quality, and adherence to safety standards including punchlist activities
· Prepare and distribute project status reports, meeting minutes, and other documentation to stakeholders
· Support the procurement process including RFP preparation, bid analysis, and vendor selection
· Contribute to value engineering efforts and constructability reviews during pre-construction
Qualifications
Required:
· 3–7 years of project management experience in construction, architecture, real estate development, or a related field
· Experience working for a general contractor, architect, construction manager, or owner’s representative firm
· Working knowledge of construction methods, materials, building systems, and project delivery methods (design-bid-build, design-build, CM at-risk)
· Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera, or similar)
· Strong understanding of construction documents, contracts (AIA preferred), and the RFI/submittal process
· Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline
Preferred:
· Background in engineering (civil, structural, or mechanical) or architecture, with an understanding of design processes and technical documentation
· Experience with ground-up construction as well as renovation and adaptive reuse projects
· Familiarity with real estate development processes including entitlements, due diligence, and feasibility analysis
· Proficiency with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or BIM software
