HomeAides is seeking responsible and dependable Non-Medical Transportation Drivers to provide safe, comfortable, and timely transportation for individuals who require assistance getting to and from various non-medical appointments and locations. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to delivering high-quality customer service and ensuring passengers' safety at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Passenger Transport: Safely transport passengers to and from non-medical appointments, errands, or other designated locations.
Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and ensuring the vehicle is clean and well-maintained.
Customer Service: Provide friendly and professional service to passengers, ensuring comfort, punctuality, and safety during the ride. Assist passengers as necessary, such as helping with boarding, securing mobility aids, or providing direction.
Safety Protocols: Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards while operating the vehicle. Ensure passengers wear seatbelts and any other safety gear required.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of trip details, including pick-up and drop-off times, mileage, and any relevant incidents or notes during the trip.
Communication: Keep in regular communication with the dispatch team, reporting any delays, traffic issues, or vehicle malfunctions.
Emergency Response: In case of accidents or emergencies, remain calm and follow company procedures for reporting and handling the situation.
Qualifications:
Valid Driver’s License: Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Experience: Previous driving experience (preferably in non-medical transportation, delivery, or customer service) is preferred.
Background Check: Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
Physical Requirements: Ability to assist with loading and unloading passengers, including those with mobility aids.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills to interact effectively with passengers, co-workers, and management.
Dependability: Punctuality and reliability are essential, as this role requires adherence to a set schedule.
Additional Skills (Preferred but Not Required):
First Aid/CPR certification.
Experience with elderly or disabled passengers.
Work Environment:
The role will primarily involve working in a vehicle, so candidates must be comfortable with driving for extended periods of time.
