- Perform thorough cleaning of residential or commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface wiping to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate cleaning detergents and equipment to ensure hygiene compliance.
- Handle laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing items efficiently.
- Maintain floor care by sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to preserve flooring quality and appearance.
- Use janitorial supplies and cleaning equipment safely and effectively while adhering to safety protocols.
- Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture or equipment with proper technique to prevent injury.
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding their specific needs or requests, ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential or custodial cleaning, janitorial work, or housekeeping management is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, outdoor work experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with cleaning detergents, floor cleaning techniques, carpet cleaning methods, and sanitation standards.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout the shift.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks with physical stamina.
- Excellent client communication skills coupled with a friendly attitude towards residents or guests.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment operation including vacuums, buffers, steam cleaners, and other tools used in floor care.
