Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential or commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Handle laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing.
- Maintain floor care through sweeping, polishing, carpet cleaning, and other techniques to preserve flooring quality.
- Manage janitorial tasks including waste disposal, restroom sanitation, and replenishing supplies.
- Assist with outdoor work when necessary, such as cleaning patios or outdoor furniture to ensure exterior spaces are tidy.
- Use manual handling techniques safely when lifting heavy furniture or equipment during cleaning tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to resident or guest requests and ensuring their satisfaction with the cleanliness of their environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work or hotel housekeeping preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques including carpet cleaning, floor care, sanitation practices and janitorial procedures.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely; heavy lifting experience is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout shifts.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards residents and guests.
- Experience with laundry operations and outdoor work is a plus.
- Familiarity with housekeeping management systems or protocols is beneficial but not required.
