As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring our guests enjoy a comfortable stay by maintaining both the interior and exterior of the hotel while supporting Hilton's commitment to quality, cleanliness, safety, and exceptional guest service.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
- Complete guest room repairs, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, PTAC, lighting, furniture, doors, and fixtures.
- Perform routine maintenance such as painting, drywall repair, caulking, carpet and floor care, and touch-up work.
- Inspect hotel equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs before they become larger issues.
- Report major repairs or safety concerns to the General Manager.
- Maintain the hotel's exterior appearance, including landscaping, trash removal, and seasonal property upkeep.
- Assist with snow removal and other weather-related property maintenance when necessary.
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and work orders.
- Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies in an organized and safe manner.
- Support other hotel departments when needed, including assisting Housekeeping and Laundry with operational tasks.
- Follow all Hilton brand standards and company safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of general maintenance, facilities, apartment, hotel, or building maintenance experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, PTAC, painting, carpentry, and general building repairs.
- Spanish-speaking skills are a plus, but not required.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 140 pounds with assistance.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, crawl, push, pull, reach, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
- Must obtain any certifications required by local or state regulations.
