Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, self-sufficient nanny to provide attentive daytime care for a newborn (approx. 3 weeks old) in Mantoloking, NJ. This is a temporary, live-out daytime role providing a dependable extra set of hands during the day. Overnight and around-the-clock care is handled separately. The ideal candidate is calm, nurturing, and confident with newborns.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, nurturing daytime care for a newborn
- Support the feeding schedule (baby feeds around 8:00 and 11:00), coordinating with the family
- Handle diapering, naps, and soothing; the baby can be fussy or gassy at times
- Support age-appropriate developmental activities and tummy time
- Handle baby-related tidying, laundry, and bottle washing/sterilizing
Requirements
- Prior professional experience caring for newborns/infants
- Self-sufficient, calm, reliable, and positive
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Water-safety awareness (home has beach and pool access)
- No visible tattoos or piercings (family preference)
- Willingness to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA)
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to provide 3–5 professional references
