Full Time Household Manager/Nanny in Ann Arbor, MI $52,000-$62,400 Annual Salary

A professional family is seeking an experienced and reliable Household Manager/Nanny to support their home and care for two children aged 2 and 4 years old. This full-time role involves managing household tasks and providing childcare when needed. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and enjoys engaging with children in a nurturing, patient manner. Must be pet friendly, there are two friendly dogs at the home. 

Schedule & Compensation:

• Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Pay: $25-$30 per hour ($52K-$62K annually)

• Start Date: ASAP

Benefits:

• 2 weeks paid vacation
• 3-5 sick days
• Paid holidays: Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, 4th of July

• Willingness to travel with the family on vacations (frequent places include Florida, and west side of Michigan)

Responsibilities:
Household Management:

• Family laundry
• Meal prep (cooking may be required)
• Grocery shopping
• Loading/unloading the dishwasher
• Vacuuming the house
• Organizational tasks (e.g., organizing drawers, children’s clothes, toys, playroom, art supplies and closets)

• Household cleaner comes one to two times per week**

Childcare Responsibilities:

• Caring for two children (ages 4 & 2) when needed
• Fridays, the kids are not in school
• When the children are sick
• 1-3 days per month when daycare is closed
• Engaging in age-appropriate activities
• Implementing gentle parenting techniques with patience and emotional support
• Physically able to comfortably pick up and hold at least 40-45 lbs. Physically able to join the children in gross motor play such as swimming, running, jumping, bounce house, sliding, etc.
• Comfortable with loud play including singing, dance parties, etc.
• Comfortable with children who are slow to warm and have large expression of feelings
• Ensuring safety and supervision at all times

Additional Considerations:

• The children will likely transition to a charter school in September, adjusting their daily schedule.
• Family is LGBTQ friendly
• Summer 2026: Full-time childcare needed as the children will be out of school.

Qualifications:

• Prior childcare or household management experience
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to swim (household has a pool)
• Comfortable with dogs (family has two friendly dogs)
• Ability to travel with the family when needed
• Reliable and punctual with a proactive attitude
• Provide 3-5 professional references
• Must have U.S. work authorization
