Home Maintenance Technician | Home Tune-Up Team (Startup)
Location: Greater Charlotte area
Job Type: Part-time to full-time as we launch (W-2 employee)
Pay: Pay-per-job, estimated average $35/hour
About Us
Home Tune-Up Team is a startup home maintenance company offering a pre-assembled package of small but important maintenance tasks that keep homes running smoothly and prevent costly repairs. We’re launching in the Greater Charlotte area and looking for a dependable technician to grow with us.
What You’ll Do
- Perform scheduled maintenance visits at member homes, including flushing water heaters, changing filters, cleaning heat-exchange coils, deep cleaning appliances, and cleaning dryer vents
- Take before/after photos and document completed work for each homeowner
- Flag anything unusual, such as leaks, wear, or safety concerns
- Leave every home clean and represent the company professionally
Requirements
- Hands-on home maintenance or handyman experience, and comfort with the tasks above
- Comfortable taking before/after photos and documenting work on a smartphone
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and friendly with homeowners
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces like attics and utility closets
- 18 and able to pass a background check
- Some weekday and weekend flexibility
- Strong preference for candidates with significant past maintenance experience
