Position Summary
The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing residential and community-based services provided through programs funded or regulated by the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), including Individualized Supported Living (ISL) and similar residential service models. The manager ensures homes, staff, and documentation remain compliant with DMH regulations while maintaining quality care for individuals served.
Important Applicant Notice
Applicants MUST have direct experience working in programs regulated by the Department of Mental Health (DMH), such as ISL or similar residential programs. Candidates without DMH experience will NOT be considered. This position requires a manager who already understands DMH compliance standards, documentation requirements, and residential operations.
Minimum Qualifications
· Minimum 8 years experience working within DMH programs (ISL or similar residential programs)
· Minimum 5 years experience in a management or supervisory role within DMH services
· Preferably a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
· Qualified Developmental Disability Professional (QDDP) qualifications preferred
· Experience supervising House Supervisors and Direct Support Professionals
· Strong knowledge of DMH compliance, licensing, and certification standards
· Ability to review medical and dental binders and ensure documentation compliance
· Ability to conduct residential audits and compliance reviews
· Typing ability of approximately 35–40 words per minute
· Valid driver's license
· Active car insurance
· Reliable transportation
Key Responsibilities
· Provide leadership and supervision to House Supervisors and Direct Support Professionals
· Conduct home visits and residential audits to ensure compliance with DMH standards
· Review documentation including medical and dental binders for completeness and accuracy
· Ensure Individual Support Plans (ISP) and Behavior Support Plans (BSP) are implemented properly
· Provide staff training, coaching, and performance guidance
· Address staff performance issues and implement disciplinary action when necessary
· Ensure homes remain organized, safe, and prepared for DMH licensing and certification reviews

The manager must demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and the ability to support staff while ensuring quality services are delivered to individuals served.

Due to the nature of this role, applicants must already possess strong knowledge of DMH program requirements and residential management. Applicants without this experience should not apply.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
