Position Introduction:
A private family residing in Austin, TX is seeking a full-time Governess/Nanny to provide attentive, structured, and developmentally focused care for three young boys (ages 1, 3, and 5). The role is best suited for an individual with strong discipline, high energy, and the ability to manage a dynamic household environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain consistency in daily routines including meals, naps, hygiene, and activity schedules
- Support early learning and developmental activities appropriate for each child’s age
- Facilitate active play, outdoor recreation, and movement-based activities
- Ensure safety standards are upheld at all times
- Promote respectful behavior, positive reinforcement, and emotional regulation
- Provide parents with timely updates regarding daily activities and developmental progress
- Assist with the organization and upkeep of children’s personal and play spaces
- Live-in accommodations during on-weeks available and preferred
Required Qualifications:
- Background in athletics or military service preferred due to the structured nature of the role
- Confident managing the needs of multiple young children simultaneously
- Professional demeanor with strong reliability and communication
- Energetic, patient, and capable of maintaining structure
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
Work Arrangement:
- Schedule: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
- Live-in optional during on-weeks
Compensation Package:
- $40 per hour
