POSITION SUMMARY:
The Finance Manager role means belonging to a great team. The Finance Manager will oversee the end-to-end financial performance and will be responsible for the on-going support of Home Solutions Midwest. The Finance Manager position is designed to provide leadership, management and accountability for the organizations financial, budgetary and administrative processes, with an eye to continuously develop and improve systems. This position helps deliver on financial goals while ensuring our operations are supported to fuel the business.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee the financial department.
- Oversee basic accounting procedures
- Forecasting company finances and creating financial models
- Compiling financial data, creating reports, and analyzing the financial health of the company
- Provide insights into the financial results of the business on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
- Identifying ways for the organization to cut costs and increase profits
- Assessing financial risks
- Enforcing policies and procedures that keep the company in compliance with financial regulations
- Ability to add ad hoc payments and the management of taxes and tax compliance
- Other Duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty independently and satisfactorily. Must be able to communicate effectively in both oral and written form and interface with all departments. Must maintain absolute confidentiality. Must be able to multi-task, be accurate, have good organizational skills and handle high levels of stress. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Bachelor’s degree in an Accounting, Finance, or business-related field required
- 5-10 years of progressively responsible job-related experience
- Business Management experience
- Solid working knowledge of financial systems, statements and reporting
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
- Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
