Home Run Inn Pizza is looking for a reliable teammate with strong customer service skills to join to join the Serving/Bartending Team!
This is a part-time job to work at our Full-Service Restaurant located in Chicago-Beverly.
Position Summary: Mix and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages on guest request. Take food orders in a friendly, and timely manner. Verify all guest identification for proof of age. You will need to be flexible to Serve and/or Bartend throughout the week.
Pay: In the event your combined wages ($12.62 hourly rate and your earned tips) don’t add up to $16.60, Home Run Inn will still guarantee you are paid $16.60 per hour.
Schedule: 3-5pm-close 3-4 shifts/week. Friday-Sunday availability required along with some weekdays.
Responsibilities:
• Sell food and beverages to bar guests in a friendly, timely and responsible manner.
• Take Customer Orders, and ensure guests have a great dine in experience.
• Mix, prepare and serve drink orders, using standard recipe's.
• Practice responsible alcohol service: monitor alcohol consumption and age requirements.
• Operate cash POS system. Accept payment provide change.
• Presents menu, actively sells and suggests menu items, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service.
• Relay orders to kitchen and serve courses from kitchen and service bars.
• Assists in the service of food and beverage to tables, pre-bussing functions and the set-up and takedown of buffet table.
• Request stock and check bar to monitor stock levels.
• Maintain cleanliness of bar, station, and guest areas throughout the shift and at the end of the night.
• Monitor equipment and beverage systems.
• Promotes upcoming and special events to guests.
• Prepare bar top for next shift.
• Use POS System, calculator and common cleaning supplies.
• Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Must be 21 years of age to pour alcohol
• An ability to handle multiple orders simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Constantly be able to lift, reach, bend and stoop.
• Ability to stand for extended periods. (up to 5 hours).
• Capability to lift 20–50 pounds without assistance.
• Have working knowledge of the predominant language of our guests.
• You must obtain Food Handler certification and Bassets within 30 days of being hired.
• Safety Shoes required within two weeks of being hired.
