What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician (Industrial) position at Home Run Inn?
Home Run Inn Pizza is looking for a well experienced and reliable maintenance technician to work at our Food Production Plant in Woodridge, IL. We Make Frozen Pizzas! This will be a 3rd shift job working in a food production environment.
Shifts: Monday- Thursday 10:30pm-7:00am. and rotating Sundays 5:00am-1:30pm
Pay: $34-42/hr. contingent on skill-set and years of experience
Position Summary: The ideal candidate will have mechanical and electrical experience, a familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics and have basic troubleshooting experience with proven ability of machine repair to minimize downtime. Providing a safe and timely electrical support, preventative maintenance, installation, service, repair, troubleshooting and resolution of multiple operating machines within a manufacturing industrial environment.
- An operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery which includes; motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial / electronic controls, and power transmission systems
- PLC trouble shooting and problem solving ability with practical, mechanical & electrical aptitude.
- Must be able to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings
- Working knowledge of power transmission equipment and bearings
- Familiar with pumps, both air and electric
- Able to install and trouble shoot basic 3 phase motor control circuits
- Some knowledge of the various types of sensors and limit switches.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment breakdowns involving mechanical, hydraulic and electrical components.
- Utilize electrical/mechanical skills to maintain machinery.
- Contribute to a collaborative safety culture that drives results.
- Provide rapid response to ensure seamless productivity
- Set-up production equipment necessary for the specific days’ activity. Assist with shutdowns as well.
- Disassemble equipment, rebuild, and replace defective parts and components as needed and reassemble to make final equipment adjustments.
- Perform regular checks on all building equipment and document accordingly.
- Work closely with production personnel re: equipment repairs and machine set-up procedures.
- Generate and complete work orders as assigned.
- Assist on new equipment layout and setup.
- Communicate inventory levels to department manager.
- Attend training classes.
- On call during off hours for emergency.
- Ability to work all shifts as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Electrical and mechanical aptitude required in addition to at least 5 years of related maintenance experience.
- 2-3 years in trouble shooting industrial electrical control systems down to component level
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, stand for long periods of time, bend, twist and stoop.
- Ability to use various maintenance tools and personal computer.
- Ability to work all shifts as needed and be on-call for emergencies.
- Ability to work in a production environment. This job has exposure to ambient/refrigerator/freezer
- Ability to read & draw schematics.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems experience is preferred
- High level of electrical understanding (high & low voltage).
Salary : $34 - $42
