Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to read and interpret schematics. This role involves working on various construction sites, performing tasks related to both new builds and remodeling projects. The Carpenter will be responsible for fabricating, restoring, and installing fixtures, as well as working with materials such as stucco and metal studs.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
- Construct, install, and repair structures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Perform concrete forming for foundations and other structural elements.
- Install fixtures including cabinets, doors, windows, and moldings.
- Execute metal stud framing for interior walls and partitions.
- Restore existing structures to improve functionality or aesthetics.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project completion.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a carpenter or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of carpentry techniques and methods, including concrete forming and fixture installation.
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints accurately.
- Familiarity with stucco application processes is a plus.
- Experience with metal stud framing is desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team on construction sites.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods.
