A Day in the Life
In this role, you’ll facilitate and coordinate essential trainings such as CPR/First Aid, trauma-informed care, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems. You’ll play a key part in ensuring staff are equipped with the knowledge and tools they need to provide exceptional care.
Beyond facilitation, you’ll support organizational compliance and reporting efforts by maintaining accurate, organized, and accessible training records and data. Your work will directly contribute to program excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across departments.
How This Position Contributes to our Mission
- Facilitate and coordinate in-person and virtual training sessions, workshops and seminars across the organization
- Maintain accurate, organized and audit-ready training records and data
- Ensure staff remain compliant with regulatory, accreditation and organizational training requirements
- Support employees in accessing internal and external learning platforms
- Partner with leadership to enhance training programs and support continuous improvement efforts
Training Specialist Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Healthcare Administration, or related field required
- Experience facilitating engaging in-person and/or virtual trainings, with strong presentation and group facilitation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles
- Experience in behavioral or mental health settings preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related systems
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed
