Jet Mortgage a Wholesale lender and a DBA of Home Mortgage Alliance Corporation is looking for a detail-oriented, deadline-driven Funder to support our growing mortgage operations. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring loans are accurately reviewed, fully compliant, and ready for timely funding. Responsibilities:
- Organize, review, research, analyze, audit and verify all aspects of the loan funding process
- Ensure that all loans meet guidelines for quality and regulatory compliance, and investor closing standards are met
- Coordinate and review all documentation to ensure timely funding
- Contact third parties to verify availability of funds
- Audit and ensure loan files are complete for necessary title reports, credit reports, appraisals, inspections, etc.
- Review data input and assure required loan document information is correct (e.g. property address, vesting, loan amount, interest rate, impounds, legal description, etc.)
- Follow up on discrepancies, missing items (e.g. documents, pages, signatures)
- Maintain communication with closing agents, title agents and other departments to promote positive business relations and effectively relay documents and funding loan status
- Obtain escrow funding conditions
- Prepare, balance and submit wires to escrow
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Minimum three years of mortgage funding experience
- Must be able to work on schedule based on Eastern Standard zone
- Extensive knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, NQM and Reverse Mortgage closing requirements
- Strong knowledge of closing and title documents
- Strong knowledge of wet/dry state closing requirements
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Ability to communicate verbally courteously and effectively and in writing
- Working knowledge of LendingQB or Encompass
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be good at multi-tasking in a fast paced environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
