WHAT YOU'LL DO
Direct Client Care:
- Execute personalized client care plans and document daily activities accurately
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide household assistance such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and home safety monitoring
- Support clients with personal care, including hygiene, mobility assistance, medication reminders, and companionship
- Build meaningful, trusting relationships with clients and their families
Lead & Administrative Responsibilities:
- Perform daily administrative support tasks in the agency office, supporting the Executive Administrator as needed
- Assist in conducting caregiver orientations and field training, modeling best practices and Home Matters standards
- Serve as the first point of contact when a caregiver is unable to report for a scheduled shift — respond quickly and either cover the shift personally or coordinate a replacement
- Be available to fill gaps for high-need clients, ensuring continuity of care is never compromised
- Conduct wellness check-ins with clients and report observations to the office team
- Communicate proactively with the Executive Administrator and scheduling team regarding shift coverage, client concerns, and caregiver performance in the field
- Serve as a trusted resource for caregivers who have questions or need support while on shift
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Must be at least 21 years of age (some exceptions may apply)
- Minimum 3 years of caregiving experience with the senior population
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with current insurance required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to remain calm and solutions-focused under pressure
- Dependable, punctual, and professional — clients and colleagues are counting on you
- Bilingual English/Spanish a strong plus
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. using safe, ergonomic movements
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, crouch, and perform hands-on care tasks throughout a shift
- Physically and mentally able to operate a vehicle safely
SCHEDULE & AVAILABILITY
- Consistent daily shifts during normal business hours
- Flexibility to cover last-minute shift callouts or fill gaps for high-need clients as needed
