Primary Duties:
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations, activities, and social interaction.
- Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, tidying, dishes, and maintaining a clean and safe home environment.
- Assist with errands, shopping, and other routine household tasks as needed.
- Prepare meals and snacks according to the client’s preferences and dietary needs.
- Assist with basic personal care needs, such as grooming, dressing, and toileting, as needed.
- Provide medication reminders as directed by the client’s care plan.
- Provide support with safe mobility and daily routines as appropriate.
- Offer support and supervision for clients with memory loss or cognitive changes.
- Observe and communicate any changes in the client’s needs, condition, or routine to the appropriate family member or care team.
- 6 months of experience in caregiving, home care, companionship, homemaking, or a related role.
- Fluent or conversational Mandarin is required; conversational Cantonese or Japanese is a plus.
- Availability: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM. Schedule may change based on the client’s needs.
- Compassionate, patient, and approachable, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable engaging clients in friendly conversation and meaningful activities and encouraging social interaction.
- Experience with or willingness to perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, and errands.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle for groceries and other client-related errands.
- Ability to pass a background check and communicate clearly in English.
