About the role
Home Matters Caregiving is a caregiver-focused, non-medical in-home senior care agency serving clients across Clemson, Pickens, Oconee, and surrounding Upstate South Carolina communities. We're looking for an experienced In-Home Staffing Coordinator to serve as the operational backbone of our office — managing caregiver and client schedules, handling incoming communications, supporting billing, and ensuring every shift is covered and every client is well-served.
This is not a passive desk job. You'll move fast, juggle competing priorities, problem-solve in real time, and serve as a key point of contact for our caregivers, clients, and their families. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and care about doing meaningful work, this role is for you.
What you'll do
- Manage caregiver and client schedules in real time using our scheduling platform
- Answer and route all incoming calls Monday–Friday
- Fill open shifts quickly when caregivers call out — including being available to personally cover a shift if no replacement is found
- Lead a weekly staffing call every Tuesday and distribute meeting minutes to the team
- Coordinate new hire and new client introductions, scheduling first shifts and follow-up calls
- Handle LTC billing and associated paperwork accurately and on time
- Manage Lyft/Uber transportation orders and client billing
- Conduct one in-home caregiver/client visit per week for scheduling and compatibility assessments
- Participate in monthly on-call rotation
- Collaborate with the Recruiting Manager on staffing needs and caregiver pipeline
What we're looking for
- Prior experience as a caregiver in a home care setting — required, not preferred
- At least 1 year of administrative, scheduling, or customer service experience
- Strong phone presence — warm, professional, and confident in every interaction
- Comfort with scheduling software, Google Workspace, and basic computer programs
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines without losing composure
- Professional discretion when handling sensitive client and caregiver information
- Must own a smartphone and be able to pass a criminal background check
