What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bank Teller - Part Time - West Lafayette position at Home Loan Savings Bank?
The Home Loan Savings Bank has been serving the people of Coshocton, Knox and Licking counties for over 140 years. Our deposit products include savings and checking accounts, certificates of deposit, individual retirement accounts, and money market accounts. We cater to both individuals and businesses. We also offer mortgage loans with fixed or adjustable rates and home equity lines of credit.
The OPPORTUNITY
The Home Loan Savings Bank currently has an opening for a PART TIME TELLER who will work roughly 20 to 25 hours a week including approximately every other Saturday.
Friendly, efficient tellers are vital to the success of the bank. Many times, the teller provides the most frequent interface to bank services for our customers. Getting to know the customer as a friend allows the teller to watch for opportunities where the bank can provide services that go beyond the deposit accounts.
Many customers develop a favorite teller who represents “The Bank” to them. Therefore, the QUALIFICATIONS we look for include:
- An Outgoing Personality
- Positive Attitude
- Ability to develop rapport with customer
- Basic computer skills
- Telephone skills
- Desire to provide Excellent Customer Service
- Attention to detail is required
- Strong basic math skills
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Neat, professional appearance
- Ability to work every other Saturday morning
- No sales targets or quotas
- Previous teller or cash handling experience is helpful but not required
- Job REQUIREMENTS include:
- Accurately processing financial transaction in an efficient manner
- Maintaining an accurate balance in the cash drawer at all time
- Standing, possibly for long periods of time;
- Moving around the bank and using standard office machines like copiers and faxes;
- Answering phones, talking to customers, taking message, transferring calls;
- Reading computer screens, entering numbers and letters;
- Passing a drug screening
