Home Kitchen is a family-owned restaurant that has proudly served our community for just over 14 months. Thanks to our amazing guests and loyal fan base, we’re growing — and we’re looking for an energetic, friendly, and reliable Server to join our team.
As a Server at Home Kitchen, you are more than just taking orders — you are part of what makes guests feel at home. You’ll be the welcoming face of our dining room, helping create a warm, upbeat experience through great communication, teamwork, and genuine hospitality. We’re looking for someone who is active on the floor, leads by example, and brings a positive, team-first mindset every shift.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a friendly attitude and make them feel at home from the moment they walk in
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using our POS system and communicate clearly with the kitchen team
- Know the menu well, describe items confidently, recommend specials, and upsell when appropriate
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation, quality, and food safety standards
- Check in with guests throughout their visit to ensure satisfaction and resolve any concerns with care
- Handle payments accurately, including cash and card transactions
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning stations, restocking, and supporting teammates as needed
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining environment at all times
Requirements
- Prior restaurant serving experience required
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
- English-speaking with clear communication skills for guest interaction and teamwork
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tables during busy shifts
- Comfortable using POS systems (Aloha, Micros, OpenTable, or similar)
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to lead by example and support coworkers
- Active, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
