Part-time · $13/ hour PRN
This position performs functions in support of the day-to-day operations of the Preble County Homeless Shelter ensuring that all duties listed under this description are completed with accuracy and timeliness, performing public relations with courtesy and tactfulness, and adhering to all agency policies and procedures. Works in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable agency and OSHA safety guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Shelter Operations: The primary responsibility of the Client Advocate (CA) is ensuring the safe and equitable operations of the emergency shelter.
· Supervision: The CA must oversee shelter clients in order to ensure a safe and secure environment. Enforce shelter rules when required. The Client Advocate reports to the Lead Client Advocate.
· Shelter cleaning and upkeep: CA Staff are responsible for cleaning all shelter areas.
Qualifications:
· To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
· Must be self-motivated.
· Must be able to work effectively individually and in a team environment.
· Must be able to pay close attention to details.
· Must be able to perform successfully without hour-to-hour direct supervision.
· Must be able to obtain sufficient task success to establish credibility with management, other staff and clients.

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
